Discography: Lone Tracks

The following releases include tracks by Ant that were originally not included on his own album releases.

Each release has it's own page with a complete track listing and other information.

 


Double Exposure (1987)

A Various Artists compilation which includes a 12-string guitar piece by Ant called Promenade.

Promenade is included on Pathways & Promenades and an alternate version of the track is included on Archive Collection Volume One.

Terra X (1990)

A compilation of music used in the German TV series Terra X.  

Includes the tracks Aurora and Drama by Ant - both of these tracks are included on Pathways & Promenades (the latter under the new title of Ironclad).  A different mix of Drama is included on Finger Painting under the title Dungeons.

 

Monografie (1996)

A Various Artists compilation released only in Italy.

Includes a synth-based library music track by Ant called Big Business.

 

Touch Sampler (1996)

An eclectic compilation of recordings, reflecting the diverse output of the Touch label.  

Includes an acoustic guitar piece by Ant from 1989 called Danza Cuccaracha, which is included on Pathways & Promenades

Survival: The Music of Nature (1997)

A Various Artists compilation which features music specially written for the long-running UK TV wildlife documentary series Survival.

Includes a number of tracks by Ant and Joji Hirota that are unavailable elsewhere.

Mystic Rain Forest (1998)

A Various Artists compilation of instrumental tracks reflecting the atmosphere of the Rain Forest.

Includes the track Sumatra by Ant, which was originally recorded for an Atmosphere Library Music project.

 

The Sky Goes All The Way Home (1999)

A special fund-raising compilation put together by BBC presenter Ashley Franklin to raise funds for Parkwood School in Derbyshire.  

The 2 CD collection includes Ant's track Sky Dawn, which is included on Pathways & Promenades

Fjord (1999) 

A Various Artists compilation of instrumental tracks that was only released in France.  

Includes a number of tracks by Ant that were originally recorded for an Atmosphere Library Music project - most of these tracks are included on Pathways & Promenades

An English Country Garden (2001)

A celebration of England in song and verse.

Includes Heart of England, Pastorale and Nightingale - three orchestral pieces written by Ant for a Library Music project which was recorded by the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Alan Wilson.

National Trust Music Collection (2001)

A 3 CD set of classical music inspired by the landscapes, gardens and treasures of The National Trust.  

Includes Chartwell, a piece originally written by Ant for a Library Music project and recorded by the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Alan Wilson.

 

Tranquil Moods (2002)

A 2 CD set of music reflecting classical and contemporary moods. 

Includes Summer Dawn and Nightingale - two orchestral pieces written by Ant for a Library Music project which was recorded by the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Alan Wilson.

 

Escape (2003)

A 3 CD set of music reflecting the magic of the sea and the seashore. 

Includes Lyme Bay - an orchestral piece written by Ant for a Library Music project which was recorded by the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Alan Wilson.

 

Nobody's Land Act 2 (2004)

A compilation of tracks by Various Artists included with issue 21 of the Italian music magazine Nobody's Land.

Includes the track Golden Road To Samarkand by Ant which is now included on Pathways & Promenades 

For Ever For Every One (2005)

A 2 CD set celebrating the beauty of Snowdonia.

Includes Exotic Gardens and Malvern Hills - two orchestral pieces written by Ant for a Library Music project which was recorded by the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Alan Wilson.

Harmony for Elephants Harmony For Elephants (2016)

A CD of music by Various Arists to accompany a fine art book of the same name.

Includes two new solo pieces by Ant and a collaborative track written and recorded with Steve Hackett and Roger King.
